Day 2: Tampa - Naples
First stop from Tampa (actually after a loooong drive on the coast...) : Sarasota, a nice town 1 hour south from Tampa. To be more precise, the Ringling Museum
Che giornata a Orlando! Ma siamo gia' pronti per un'altra giornata - molto diversa
Prima fermata da Tampa (a dire il vero dopo un luuuuungo tratto in macchina lungo la costa...) ; Sarasota, una simpatica cittadina un'ora a sud di Tampa. Per essere piu' precisi, il Museo Ringling

They call it museum of art, but there is so much to see: first of all a Museum of the Circus. I know, it sounds so weird, but the Circus in the US was an historical industry, thousands of workers, million dollars (not kidding!), so many people looking forward to seeing it arriving in their town.
Lo chiamano museo d'arte, ma e' molto di piu': prima di tutto, il museo del circo. Lo so, suona strano, ma il circo negli Stati Uniti era un'industria storica, lavoro per migliaia di persone, costi di milioni di dollari (non scherzo!), tantissime persone aspettavano con ansia il suo arrivo nelle loro citta'.
Mr. John Ringling (and his wife Mable) were not only successful Circus people, but also art lovers: they built their amazing mansion on Sarasota's beach to collect their beloved pieces of art, and also host exotic plants from all over the world.
Mr. John Ringling (e sua moglie Mable) non erano soltanto gente di circo che aveva avuto successo, erano anche amanti dell'arte: avevano costruito una villa meravigliosa a Sarasota, sul mare, per contenere le loro opere piu' preziose, e ospitare piante esotiche, da tutto il mondo.

So much culture - feel like we need a pizza (very good!) and a walk on the beach

On the road again, heading south again towards Sanibel and Captiva Islands: two very small islands, but beautiful and full of fancy VIP houses (some of them really gross), with wonderful beaches.
E si riparte, ancora a sud verso Sanibel e Captiva: due isolette molto belle e piene di case di VIP (alcune pacchianissime!), e spiagge stupende.
At the very end of the road that crosses Sanibel and Captiva, there is a little pub, literally on the beach: we arrive there quite late, it's already dark, the food is not amazing, but the location is unique!
Alla fine della strada che attraversa Sanibel e Captiva c'e' un piccolo pub, letteralmente sulla spiaggia: arriviamo tardi, e' gia' buio, il cibo non e' entusiasmante, ma la location unica!

Time to get some rest - the hotel is quite ok, if you just arrive at 10pm and leave at 9am :)
